We are accredited by the MCA to offer all the shore based modules for the OOW (Yachts) educational programme.

	The modules offered over a seven-week period are: i) GMDSS, General Operator's Certificate (10 days) ii) Advanced Sea Survival (Yachts) (3 days) iii) Nav. and Radar (Yachts) (21 days) iv) General Ships Knowledge (5 days)
	Under the expert guidance of Capt. Mike Stewart you will be well schooled and prepared for the increased responsibilities this qualification brings within the industry. PYT is fully equipped to offer these courses and our facilities include a radar simulator for the Nav & Radar course, for advanced sea survival along with all the other teaching aids for the balance of the course. All of the programs are MCA recognised with the Nav & Radar and GSK being administered, in terms of external examinations, by South Tyneside College in the U.K. Durban is an MCA approved examination centre and we can arrange for you to write MCA examinations in our comfortable air-conditioned rooms under the expert eye of our approved invigilators. These certificates of achievement are required by the MCA before applicants can undertake their OOW oral examinations. This is an intensive 7 week course and we recommend that you make use of the accommodation offered. The entire package is designed around the candidate's requirements.
