Crew Training

MCA Rating Certificate
This is the best course around for a job as deck crew
in the world of megayachts. Ideal for school leavers,
gap year students or someone looking for a career change.
Hop on board and open up opportunities in one of the
fastest growing industries in the world. Meet new friends,
work hard and have lots of fun living on board as our
28 day course prepares you for travel to exotic locations
and to earn good money. Includes the essential STCW
'95 Basic Safety Training.

Stewardess
can be included as a module of the crew training course.
This is the best course to get into the hospitality
and administration side of megayachts, where the opportunities
are just as lucrative and exciting as for deck crew.
Run in parallel with the International Career Crew Training
course above, it includes all the basics for crewing.
In the third week of the course you break away for a
week to specialize for the position of hostess or stewardess
instead of the serious physical and practical sailing
stuff. Includes the essential STCW '95 Basic Safety

STCW'95 Basic Safety Training
MCA Recognised
Essential for crewing on ocean going vessels, and consisting
of Basic Sea Survival, Fire Fighting, First Aid and
PSSR (Personal Safety and Social Responsibility). We
offer this course in-house at reasonable rates. The
course is run once a month or more according to demand.

Approved Engine Course
MCA RecognisedWe
are the only academy in the southern hemisphere that
provides the AEC - the basic qualification you need
for a career as an engineer in the megayacht industry.
This is also essential if you wish to proceed to higher
engineering qualifications. As a Captain or Engineer
of a smaller yacht you'll find your job prospects greatly
enhanced with AEC qualification plus a Deck Officer
certification (the basic 4 week course) on your CV.
We
are currently developing further engineering modules
starting with the MEOL Oral Preparation followed by
the balance of the shore based courses for Y4 certification.
