Health. You must be healthy and pass a Seamans' Medical Examination. This will confirm that you are not red/green colour blind. (Please check that you are not red/green colour blind before enrolling at our training academy).

Seamen, which is your starting out point, need their safety certificates before being signed on as a crew member. The STCW 2010 basic safety training courses are described under starting out. Certificates for these courses are issued after completing the appropriate training.

Depth of knowledge. On completion of our training you will have a rudimentary knowledge of the industry, know the basic knots and be able to speak our language. This will give you a distinct advantage when you present yourself at an interview as a well prepared crew member.
